Meet the BWA Directors
Simon joined BWA in September 1987. During his period with the practice, he has gained experience across all aspects of the company’s services (Cost Consultancy & Quantity Surveying, Facilities Management and Project Services) as well as experience on many different contract types (lump sum, management contracting and construction management).
He is adept at preparing conceptual estimates from limited design information and also specialises in Capital Allowances analysis for many of the practice’s clients.
Simon King BSc(Hons) MRICS
Director – London
Andrew joined BWA in 1985 and is a Chartered Quantity Surveyor with over 35 years’ experience in the construction industry.
He is an expert in a variety of sectors of the building industry including arts, historic buildings, housing, community developments and publicly funded projects.
Andrew Gaunt BSc(Hons) MRICS
Director – Leeds
William joined BWA in 2007 before starting university and remained at BWA during his university studies. Since graduating in 2011, he has gained Chartered Surveyor status in 2018 and became a director of BWA in 2022.
He has experience in various sectors including residential, extra care and heritage. He has gained extensive knowledge within the residential sector having worked as Employer’s Agent on a large number of affordable, social and commercial projects for both Housing Associations and developers.
William Edson BSc(Hons) MRICS
Director – Leeds
Monika joined BWA in November 2014 as an Office Manager and has since progressed her career within the practice to the role of Director in July 2022.
Her knowledge and experience cover bookkeeping, credit control and other aspects of accounts management and finance, alongside with office management and back-office support. Amongst other duties Monika is responsible for systems implementation and supplier management, as well as leadership of teams of administrative staff and undertaking HR and H&S functions.
